Fixed-reference sizing
Prop-Safe can keep planned position risk tied to the original account reference rather than current balance. That means a winning day does not automatically increase the sizing reference for the next trade. This is a risk-configuration choice, not a guarantee that an account will stay within any firm's rules.
Daily-loss accounting
The reference design includes floating P/L and account-wide daily-loss accounting. Winning P/L is not treated as extra room to expand the day's risk budget. A protective stop and daily-loss control can reduce planned exposure, but live fills, gaps and slippage can still create losses beyond a requested level.
What to verify with a prop firm
- Whether Expert Advisors are allowed on the specific program and platform.
- Whether news trading or holding through specified events is restricted.
- How the firm defines daily loss, maximum loss and floating equity.
- Whether copy trading, identical strategies or multiple-account behavior is limited.
- Whether there are consistency, minimum-day or position-size rules.
- Whether rules differ between challenge, verification and funded stages.
Why the rules must be checked separately
Prop-firm terms can change and can differ between account types. Smooth Operator FX is not affiliated with or endorsed by a prop firm and does not certify compliance. Review the firm's current rules immediately before use and again after any rule update.
Use the demo as an operational test
Before connecting automation to a challenge or funded account, use the seven-day demo on a permitted MT5 demo environment. Confirm symbol mapping, spread, commission, licensing, notifications, daily-loss behavior and the controls you can actually observe. A quiet or profitable demo week is not proof of future returns or rule compliance.
For a structured checklist, see the prop-firm EA rules guide, compare prop-firm EAs, and review the documented risk controls.
