HIGH-IMPACT NEWS PROTECTION

Built-in news controls for EUR/USD automation.

High-impact releases can widen spreads, increase slippage and change short-term liquidity. Smooth Operator FX includes an event filter designed to prevent new entries around selected EUR/USD-impacting news windows.

Why automated systems need event controls

Economic releases such as central-bank decisions, inflation data and labor-market reports can produce abrupt EUR/USD movement and unusual execution conditions.

How the production setup handles news

The EA uses an external economic-news feed and checks relevant high-impact events before allowing new entries. The installation guide requires the news feed WebRequest URL and the on-chart status should show NEWS FEED: OK before the trader relies on the filter.

What the filter does not guarantee

The filter cannot eliminate gaps, slippage, spread expansion, feed outages or unexpected events. It is an operational control, not a guarantee against losses.

Test the full environment

Confirm the news feed, broker symbol, server time, spreads and execution on demo before live use. Prop-firm users should also verify the firm's current news-trading rules.

The October 16, 2026 EURUSD M1 backtests record 1,897 simulated Prop-Safe trades (PF 3.10) and 1,897 simulated Compound trades (PF 2.92) from January 2023, each with a $10,000 initial balance. These are historical simulations, not live results, and they do not predict or guarantee future performance.
